A "Dieta" is more than just a diet.
It´s a very sacred and honored tradition that facilitates a temporary way of life that creates a clear and undistracted environment for the mind and body so the plants can teach and heal you in the most beneficial and effective way possible. It carries a complex and structured science and methodology that have been developed and perfected over vast spans of time.
You have two aspects of the tradition. A Healing Dieta and an Apprenticeship Dieta. The Shipibos emphasize that in order to heal others, you have to have healed yourself first. So naturally, before apprenticeship, comes the Healing Dieta. They call this process
“Re-alignment”.

As the whole organization is Shipibo-Driven and Family-owned, 89% of the expenses from your participation goes back in the hands of the Family and Community. The remaining 11% goes to support the facilitators. You are supporting a good cause that's not focused on profit - but the betterment of the community and preservation of the tradition.
